Welcome to Podcasting 101!
with Evan Goodchild

It seems like everyone has a podcast right now. We want that "everyone" to include YOU! Join us and get hands-on in producing your very own podcast. You will learn how to take an idea and turn it into a finished product as you are guided through the process by seasoned podcast producer and engineer, Evan Goodchild. The goal of this workshop is for you to leave with the skills and knowledge to start producing your own podcasts. The sessions will focus on low-cost, DIY approaches that won't require a professional studio or lots of start-up money. Students will leave feeling inspired, confident and with enough resources to feel comfortable and excited to start learning more on their own or with friends.

Grades 5th-8th Session
Dates: Saturdays 1/6-2/10
Time: 10:30am-12:30pm
Location: Canton Community Center - Room B
Fee: $120 R / $130 NR

Grades 9th-12th Session
Dates: Wednesdays 1/10-2/14
Time: 3:00pm-5:00pm
Location: Canton Community Center - Room B
Fee: $120 R / $130 NR

Required Equipment
We ask that participants bring their own tablet or laptop to this program. All editing platforms used in the program are Internet-based and do not require any software to be downloaded. If you do not have a tablet or laptop available for this program, please email cboughton@townofcantonct.org to set up renting equipment.
