Join Canton Parks & Recreation Department and Collinsville Canoe & Kayak for the 1st Annual Witch Paddle & Halloween on the River event

Saturday October 25, 2025 from 9:00am to 1:00pm (no rain date)
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for both events – registration can be done at www.cantonrec.org


Witch Paddle Event Launch from Collinsville Canoe & Kayak (41 Bridge Street, Collinsville, CT)

Wear your Favorite WITCH or Halloween Costume
Arrive by 9:30am to Sign in & get equipment
10:15am – Safety Meeting
10:30am - Launch
Return by 12:30pm

REQUIRED: Paddleboard or Kayak , PFD , Paddle & Leash
(1/2 Price Rentals are available, or BYO! Rental requests need to be made to Collinsville Canoe & Kayak by no later than Thursday, October 23 - see contact information below).

Free launching for those in costume!

Paddle at your own risk. (We recommend this event for experienced paddlers only!) There will be no official instruction given that day.


Halloween on the River event (Located in gazebo area along the Farmington River, close to the Department of Public Works/Water Pollution Control buildings (45 River Rd)

Halloween on the River event for kids will run 11:00am-12:00pm

Join us for games, face painting, music & trick or treating! Costumes not required, but welcomed. In lieu of payment, we ask that you bring canned food items to donate to the Canton Food Bank. REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 3PM ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23RD.
