People who sign up for this session should have already taken a beginning pickleball class or have equivalent skills.Drilling for Improved Game PlaySo you need to practice certain skills outside of a game situation? You pick your schedule!Join the party and enjoy the health benefits of this energetic, feel good, low impact aerobic workout. This class is a total body workout set to Latin and international rhythms. We use the same music and choreography as Zumba Basic; the routines are just modified to be more gentle on your knees. No experience necessary, just a willingness to dance and have fun while logging at least 5,000 steps on your fitness tracker!Interested participants are welcome to take a FREE class on a Saturday. This class is a total body workout set to Latin and international rhythms. We use the same music and choreography as Zumba Basic; the routines are just modified to be more gentle on your knees. Intro to PickleballGet started in the fastest growing sport in the US – pickleball! In this introduction to the game, you will learn how to play pickleball, including safety, proper grip, positioning, ground strokes, serves, returns, lobs, dinking, scoring and game strategy. This course is geared to beginners to the sport.Advanced Beginner/Round RobinWant to build on your beginner pickleball skills and get some games in too? Then sign up for Advanced Beginner Pickleball!we will work on skills (about 30 mins) followed by coached round robin play. Stay longer on your own to continue your games, if you’d like. People who sign up for this session should have already taken a beginning pickleball class or have equivalent skills.Drilling for Improved Game PlaySo you need to practice certain skills outside of a game situation? This class will consist of drilling specific pickleball skills so that they transfer more easily to your game play. The last part of the class will be game play for about 30 minutes to put those skills to practice. Enrollees should have already taken a beginner class and be able to consistently rally during game play. This program is for players at Advanced Beginner or higher level. Dance is such a fun environment to be in. It's a place to be you, be silly, meet new friends and have fun!! Students will be learning a variety of dance routines during Hip Hop and will be learning lots of awesome and fun gymnastics skills. This program is a great way to keep up your skills and learn new ones. Sign up today! Please review all information below prior to registering. Program Descriptions:Hip-Hop/Gymnastics (7-10 years old & 11-15 years old): - Session I & II are 8-week classes and there is no commitment to the recital at the end of the year. Please note, if you would like to continue into the recital sessions the costume must be ordered by December 1. - The Recital Preparation Sessions begins in late January; participants will work on skills and choreography to be presented at the final recital. Participants who are registered for this session are automatically included in the recital. Instructor will provide additional information on recital costume (additional fee). This program is only for students who have participated in at least session II of Next Gen. Combo (4-6 years old):All sessions are 8/9 weeks long . Next Generation of Dance! - Session I: Hip-Hop/Gym (11-15 yr olds) Please review all the information below prior to registering. Thank you! This dance and gymnastics program is designed for all skill levels. Dance is such a fun environment to be in. It's a place to be you, be silly, meet new friends and have fun!! Students will be learning a variety of dance routines during Hip Hop and will be learning lots of awesome and fun gymnastics skills. This program is a great way to keep up your skills and learn new ones. Sign up today! Please review all information below prior to registering. Program Descriptions:Hip-Hop/Gymnastics (7-10 years old & 11-15 years old): - Session I & II are 8-week classes and there is no commitment to the recital at the end of the year. Please note, if you would like to continue into the recital sessions the costume must be ordered by December 1. - The Recital Preparation Sessions begins in late January; participants will work on skills and choreography to be presented at the final recital. Participants who are registered for this session are automatically included in the recital. Instructor will provide additional information on recital costume (additional fee). This program is only for students who have participated in at least session II of Next Gen. Combo (4-6 years old):All sessions are 8/9 weeks long . Children participating in the combo class are no required to participate in the recital, but will have the option to take part in the recital if interested. Ms. Aly will discuss the recital options during the session with parents. If your child plans on participating in the recital, please note there is an additional costume fee, which the instructor will also coordinate with you you (costumes for recital must be purchase by December 1). The final session of the Combo class in late April will be for those in the recital. General Program information- Students should wear dance/gymnastic attire, bare feet & a ponytail - Both age groups' classes are gymnastics and hip-hop only. - Students need to have their hair pulled back and out of their face. - Please bring a water bottle and use the restroom prior to the start of class. Pickleball Tournament: Rotating Round Robin - Tournament: Individual Registration Get ready to dink, drive, and socialize at our upcoming Rotating Round Robin Pickleball Tournament! This fun, community-focused event is all about building connections and enjoying the game we love in Canton and the surrounding areas.This tournament is designed for individual sign-ups, and we'll be keeping individual scores throughout. To ensure everyone has a great time and can participate fully, we ask that only players who can consistently sustain a rally during a game register. When you sign up, you'll be asked to estimate your skill level, which will help us create balanced and exciting matchups.The specific format will be determined after registration closes, but you can count on a lively round robin setup. In this introduction to the game, you will learn how to play pickleball, including safety, proper grip, positioning, ground strokes, serves, returns, lobs, dinking, scoring and game strategy. This course is geared to beginners to the sport.Advanced Beginner/Round RobinWant to build on your beginner pickleball skills and get some games in too? Then sign up for Advanced Beginner Pickleball!we will work on skills (about 30 mins) followed by coached round robin play. Stay longer on your own to continue your games, if you’d like. People who sign up for this session should have already taken a beginning pickleball class or have equivalent skills.Drilling for Improved Game PlaySo you need to practice certain skills outside of a game situation? This class will consist of drilling specific pickleball skills so that they transfer more easily to your game play. The last part of the class will be game play for about 30 minutes to put those skills to practice. Enrollees should have already taken a beginner class and be able to consistently rally during game play. This program is for players at Advanced Beginner or higher level. People who sign up for this session should have already taken a beginning pickleball class or have equivalent skills.Drilling for Improved Game PlaySo you need to practice certain skills outside of a game situation? This class will consist of drilling specific pickleball skills so that they transfer more easily to your game play. The last part of the class will be game play for about 30 minutes to put those skills to practice. Enrollees should have already taken a beginner class and be able to consistently rally during game play. This program is for players at Advanced Beginner or higher level. The Warrior Basketball Preseason clinic hosted by Canton Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, Dan Goscinski, will be a 6-week skill development program for boys and girls in grades 4-8. This skills clinic will focus on developing fundamental skills in the areas of ball handling, shooting, passing defense, individual scoring moves and team offense/defense strategies. Creative Minds (K-3) - Fall Session Welcome to Creative Minds!After School Art Therapy for K-3This program combines group therapy principles with art projects to help children express themselves, develop coping mechanisms and enhance their social and emotional skills in a safe and supportive environment. Addressing a range of emotional, behavioral challenges such as anxiety, social difficulties and low self-esteem. This program provides a safe and inclusive environment where children can connect, share experiences and offer mutual support. A trained therapist guides discussions, mediates group dynamics and helps children process their feelings and experiences related to the art activities. This program encourages children to describe their artwork and engage with peers. Participants will learn to manage and express emotions in a healthy manner. Let's Skate: Fall Skateboarding Clinic - Fall Skateboarding Clinic Let's Skate!: Fall ClinicParticipants will acquire foundational skills in skateboarding, covering basics like pushing and riding, while also diving into more advanced techniques such as dropping in and ollies. Each individual will establish their own set of personal goals to pursue over the course of the week. Helmets, skateboards, and padding is all provided by Let's Skate; however, campers can bring their own if they wish.
