9:30 AM - 10:30 AM    Tot & Me on the Move: Fitness Class - Tot & Me Fitness: Drop In
This class is a great way to stay active, while engaging with your child and other caregivers. The format will entail a structured fitness set as well as a walk. All fitness levels are welcomed! The class is designed to help kick start your fitness journey and find a community of caregivers. Children ages 4 and under are welcomed to join their caregiver to the class. Want to try out the class? Contact Kellie at Kfaust@townofcantonct.org or call 860-693-5808 to request a FREE trial! NEW! Tot & Me: Cardio & Mobility (Tuesday Class) This new class will focus on raising the heart rate for a quick and effective workout. This primarily body and light weight class will build strength and mobility through a variety of exercises. Similar to our Thursday class, caregivers of all levels of fitness are encouraged to come workout and bring their children (4 yrs & under). Equipment: Please bring a mat, water and stroller. Canton P & R will supply light weights, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring toys for your children to play with when they need a break from the workout. Some, not all, exercises may include an option to have your child participate; however, child participation is not required to complete the program.Participants must be cleared to exercise by a health care provider if recently (8 weeks) postpartum.   Drop-ins welcome: We ask that each participant pre-register for a drop in class prior to attending.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM    YogaCHI with Mary Ellen - Fall Session (8 week session)
YogaCHI is for all levels and everyone is encouraged to try it out! In this gentle but energizing class we will intelligently combine disciplines of Yoga, Pilates and CHI-Gong. The emphasis will be on exercises to deepen the breath, strengthen the muscles of the "core" as well as upper body, arms and legs combined with deep stretching and ending with therapeutic relaxation techniques. The class is designed to bring energy and balance into the body, mind and spirit, cultivate health, vitality and longevity. Yes, this is for everyone!

This is a great class for the active little ones who are looking for a foundation of tumbling and fitness. Skills are taught through a mix of song and dance as well as obstacle courses and other fun games! Tiny Tots: For ages 18 months - 3 years, this is an excellent beginner class for the active little ones who are looking for a foundation of tumbling and fitness and still need parent/guardian assistance/support in class. Skills are taught through a mix of song and dance as well as obstacle courses and other fun games! Students will learn basic forward rolls, jumps, pre-cartwheels and more! Pre-Tumble: For ages 3-5, this is a great foundational class for independent (no parent/guardian) students who are looking for tumbling and fitness. Skills are taught through a mix of song and dance as well as obstacle courses and other fun games! Students will learn forward rolls, jumps, pre-cartwheels, balancing, strength, and more based on abilities!Mini Movers: For 12-24months, this child w/caregiver class promotes early social and physical skills and provides a comfortable space for you to guide your baby's skill and growth with new friends! Each class, your little one will enjoy songs, gym activities, and beginner tumbling skills in a fun and engaging environment!Fall I: No class 10/14Fall II: No class 11/11Winter: No class 1/20 & 2/1712-18 months: Parent/caregiver participation is required.18 months-3 year class: Parent/caregiver participation is required.3-5 year class: This is a drop off class. A full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using lightly weighted drumsticks engineered for exercising, Pound transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Designed for all fitness levels! Easily modifiable, Pound provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin' out!  Participants need to bring a mat and water bottle; pound sticks are provided by the instructor. Session I: No class 10/14Session II: No class 11/11Session IV: No class 2/17 or 2/24

Fitness MatrixThis fun beginner-to-intermediate class provides a full-body workout using multiple fitness modalities: resistance training, cardio, balance, and stretching using resistance bands, light weights, steps, POUND Ripstix®, occasional dance fitness moves, and chairs for optional standing support. Each class varies slightly, but each works all major and some minor muscle groups. Bring your own tools or we can provide them. Instructor Kathi Boratko is an Athletics and Fitness Association of America™ (AFAA) certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and owner of FITMiX with Kathi.

This is a great class for the active little ones who are looking for a foundation of tumbling and fitness. Skills are taught through a mix of song and dance as well as obstacle courses and other fun games! Tiny Tots: For ages 18 months - 3 years, this is an excellent beginner class for the active little ones who are looking for a foundation of tumbling and fitness and still need parent/guardian assistance/support in class. Skills are taught through a mix of song and dance as well as obstacle courses and other fun games! Students will learn basic forward rolls, jumps, pre-cartwheels and more! Pre-Tumble: For ages 3-5, this is a great foundational class for independent (no parent/guardian) students who are looking for tumbling and fitness. Students will be learning a variety of dance routines during Hip Hop and will be learning lots of awesome and fun gymnastics skills. Please review all information below prior to registering.  Hip-Hop/Gym (7-11 years old): - Session I & II are 8-week classes and there is no commitment to the recital at the end of the year. Please note, if you would like to continue into the recital sessions the costume must be ordered by December 1. - The Recital Session begins in late January. This is a longer session where participants will work on skills and choreography to be presented at the final recital. Participants who are registered for this session are automatically included in the recital. Instructor will provide additional information on recital costume (additional fee). This program is only for students who have participated in at least session II of Next Gen. Payment plan available for the Recital Session only. Students will be learning a variety of dance routines during Hip Hop and will be learning lots of awesome and fun gymnastics skills. This program is a great way to keep up your skills and learn new ones. Sign up today! Please review all information below prior to registering.  Hip-Hop/Gym (7-11 years old): - Session I & II are 8-week classes and there is no commitment to the recital at the end of the year. Please note, if you would like to continue into the recital sessions the costume must be ordered by December 1. - The Recital Session begins in late January. This is a longer session where participants will work on skills and choreography to be presented at the final recital. Participants who are registered for this session are automatically included in the recital. Instructor will provide additional information on recital costume (additional fee). This program is only for students who have participated in at least session II of Next Gen. Payment plan available for the Recital Session only. If you do not wish to use the payment plan - enter the full amount of the program under "Payment". - Recital Rehearsal June TBA  - Recital June TBACombo (4-6 years old):All sessions are 8/9 weeks long . Children participating in the combo class are no required to participate in the recital, but will have the option to take part in the recital if interested. Ms. Aly will discuss the recital options during the session with parents. If your child plans on participating in the recital, please note there is an additional costume fee, which the instructor will also coordinate with you you (costumes for recital must be purchase by December 1).   General Program information- Students should wear dance/gymnastic attire, bare feet & a ponytail - Both age groups' classes are gymnastics and hip-hop only. - Students need to have their hair pulled back and out of their face. - Please bring a water bottle and use the restroom prior to the start of class.
