UPDATE 6/2: Tiny Tots Pre-School Camp will be 9am-12pm this Summer due to COVID19. Our staff will wear face masks (campers are not required to wear face masks) and extensive cleaning of high touch areas will take place. Pre-Screening will be required every morning at drop off. Spots are limited this summer, so register soon! Tiny Tots will be held daily at the Canton Community Center- Room D, and not be at Mills Pond Pool this Summer. There will be no pool time this Summer due to the wade pool being closed for the Summer Season.   Tiny Tots Pre-School Camp is a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for your 3-5 year old child while helping them develop separation skills. Tiny Tots prides itself on being a smaller camp with excellent ratios of camper to counselor to ensure your tiny tot receives personalized attention at every point of the day!  Breakdown Schedule for Tiny Tots:  Mondays: Interactive themed craft   Tuesdays: Interactive themed craft    Wednesdays: Book Buddies or education through play day Thursdays: STEAM Day  Friday: Music and Sensory day *Activities are subject to change this summer due to COVID19*      Early Bird prices have ended, below are the current prices.    Per Week: $140   Total Tots Package (Includes all 9-weeks of camp for 9am-12pm): $999

Space is limited! Don't wait, register today! This multi-sport program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. The essentials of baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun. The Mini-Hawk games and activities were designed to allow campers to explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace.  Update (5/28/2020): First session of this camp has been cancelled. The 8/03-8/06 session will still be run. Please note, camp dates/times change. Friday, 8/07 will be a rain date option only.

What is the C.I.T. program?Canton Parks and Recreation Department is seeking responsible, outgoing, 14-17 year olds interested in working with children in a fun, fast paced, outdoor setting during the summer. C.I.T.’s (Counselors in Training) will assist camp counselors with planning and leading activities, supervising campers both on site and on field trips and other duties as needed. There will also be weekly “Leadership Workshops” to help C.I.T.’s develop leadership skills and team building!Benefits of becoming a C.I.T.Being a C.I.T. is extremely rewarding and is a great resume builder for college. Also, top performing C.I.T.’s will be given preferential consideration during the hiring process when they are eligible to apply for a paid position and openings exist.Application ProcessInterested individuals are required to complete an application form and attach a reference letter from a non-family member (teacher, coach, etc). Applications will be accepted starting January 27, 2020. Application materials must be dropped off to the Parks and Recreation Office by no later than April 24, 2020 to be considered. Candidates will be contacted for interviews on a rolling basis. There are a limited number of C.I.T.’s that will be admitted into the summer 2020 program so do not wait to apply.AdmissionAfter completing an interview, successful candidates will receive an acceptance letter into the C.I.T. program.Candidates must then submit $65.00 per week- a minimum of 3 weeks is required in order to qualify as a candidate.Upon acceptance, if you are interested in doing the entire summer, all 9 weeks of camp, the price will be $520 (one week for free)!

UPDATE 5/27: Due to COVID19 Explorer's Summer Camp will not exceed more than 10 children per group with a total of 3 groups. There will be no exceptions, so register soon! Explorer's Day Camp will not be offering Before Care and After Care. Camp will run 9am-4pm daily. Field Trips are also cancelled for the summer. Week 7 - Summer Olympics August 3 - August 7While professional athletes are partaking in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, Explorer's Day Camp campers will also be participating in Summer Olympics activities right here in Canton! Our entertainer T-Bone will start ot the week with his energetic and crazy stunts he has campers do while he sings. Campers will also get a chance to test their abilities in some Summer Olympic games such as the long jump, hula hooping, shot put, javelin and ring toss. Campers will also get to test their creativity in speed coloring, making bandannas and doing wheelbarrow races. At the end of the week campers will get to test their new abilities against the camp counselors in a friendly game of kickball. Week 7: $190 | Additional $20.00 for non-residents. ________________________________________________________________________Explorers Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for youth to make new friends, participate in a variety of activities and create memories that last a lifetime! The program includes a variety of outdoor activities at the park including team games, sports, arts & crafts and more. Campers swim daily at Mills Pond Pool; and they enjoy weekly visits from Rolling Videogames Truck or another entertainer! *Activities are subject to change* In the event of bad weather the program may be relocated to the Canton Community Center. Parents will be asked to participate during the back stroke/float portion on select days - schedule will be discussed with parent/guardian). • All lessons are 40 minutes long• Each session is 2 weeks long meeting Monday-Friday• Lessons are held rain or shine; in the event of a lighting or thunder storm class will be cancelled• Note: There are no make-up classes and students may not attend other classes; we do not pro-rate swimming lessons• Fee: $72.00 per session (Pool members pay $57.00 per session)* Be sure to register for a pool membership first to get a discount*Parent & Child: For children 6 months old through 4 years old and their parent (s). Class is a mix of songs and instruction to get your child comfortable in the water.Pre-School: For children ages 3 to 5 years old. Teaches elementary aquatic skills and builds on the fundamentals needed for level 1.Level 1: For children ages 5 & up. Teaches basic water safety and skills to help children feel comfortable in the water.Level 2: For children ages 5 & up. Mills Pond Pool Public Swim Wave Registration Please review the following prior to registering for a swim wave:   Pool registration will be available for members at 8 AM the day before the scheduled swim wave. The registration fee will be waived for all members at checkout. The pool wave will be open to the general public (non-members/daily pass) starting at 8 AM the day of the swim wave. Patrons (member or daily pass) may only register for one swim wave per day.  Lap Swim: If you are interested in lap swim, click HERE to register for a time. Please note, you must register for a swim wave BEFORE registering for lap swim. If you only sign up for lap swim, you will not be able  to enter the facility. Anyone entering the facility, whether or not you are swimming, will need to register for a swim wave. You will not be allowed to enter the facility without registration. All guests will need to be a member or pay the daily pool pass fee. We ask all guests to come dressed in their swim suits.  All general and COVID-19 pool rules must be followed. Refreshments will still be available for purchase by using Snack Dollars. 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Warrior Hoops School - Summer Basketball Camps - Warrior Hoop School - Session II
Warrior Hoop School - Session I Boys & Girls - Grades 3-9July 27-30 , 4:00 - 8:00 PM  (Friday, 7/31: Rain Date) Warrior Hoop School - Session II Boys & Girls - Grades 3-9August 03-06, 4:00 - 8:00 PM   (Friday, 8/7: Rain Date) The Warrior Hoops School will focus on building campers' basketball skills through stations, fun competitions, and games.  Campers will participate in daily stations followed by competitions and games.  Each day there will be a guest lecturer in the afternoon followed by a skills segment based on the lecture. Campers will get a camp t-shirt and daily ice cream freeze pop!Both Camps will be held at the Mills Pond Park Courts. Camps run by Canton High School Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Craig Archambault. Camp staff will include former and current basketball players and coaches. Update (6/10/2020): Dates, times and locations have been updated for this program. Anyone registered prior to 6/01 has been credited for the difference in price. Please note, this camp is still dependent on Phase 2 reopening and approval by state and local health departments for this specific sports camp. If sessions are cancelled, participants will be credited the full amount - refunds upon request.  The schedule will be Monday – Thursday with a rain date Friday. In the event there are multiple rainouts, a make-up session will be scheduled during the week of August 17-21. Mills Pond Pool Public Swim Wave Registration Please review the following prior to registering for a swim wave:   Pool registration will be available for members at 8 AM the day before the scheduled swim wave. The registration fee will be waived for all members at checkout. The pool wave will be open to the general public (non-members/daily pass) starting at 8 AM the day of the swim wave. Patrons (member or daily pass) may only register for one swim wave per day.  Lap Swim: If you are interested in lap swim, click HERE to register for a time. UPDATE 5/27: Due to COVID19 Explorer's Summer Camp will not exceed more than 10 children per group with a total of 3 groups. There will be no exceptions, so register soon! Explorer's Day Camp will not be offering Before Care and After Care. Camp will run 9am-4pm daily. Field Trips are also cancelled for the summer. Week 7 - Summer Olympics August 3 - August 7While professional athletes are partaking in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, Explorer's Day Camp campers will also be participating in Summer Olympics activities right here in Canton! Our entertainer T-Bone will start ot the week with his energetic and crazy stunts he has campers do while he sings. Campers will also get a chance to test their abilities in some Summer Olympic games such as the long jump, hula hooping, shot put, javelin and ring toss. Campers will also get to test their creativity in speed coloring, making bandannas and doing wheelbarrow races. At the end of the week campers will get to test their new abilities against the camp counselors in a friendly game of kickball. Week 7: $190 | Additional $20.00 for non-residents. ________________________________________________________________________Explorers Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for youth to make new friends, participate in a variety of activities and create memories that last a lifetime! Warrior Hoop School - Session I Boys & Girls - Grades 3-9July 27-30 , 4:00 - 8:00 PM  (Friday, 7/31: Rain Date) Warrior Hoop School - Session II Boys & Girls - Grades 3-9August 03-06, 4:00 - 8:00 PM   (Friday, 8/7: Rain Date) The Warrior Hoops School will focus on building campers' basketball skills through stations, fun competitions, and games.  Campers will participate in daily stations followed by competitions and games.  Each day there will be a guest lecturer in the afternoon followed by a skills segment based on the lecture. Campers will get a camp t-shirt and daily ice cream freeze pop!Both Camps will be held at the Mills Pond Park Courts. Camps run by Canton High School Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Craig Archambault. Camp staff will include former and current basketball players and coaches. Update (6/10/2020): Dates, times and locations have been updated for this program. Anyone registered prior to 6/01 has been credited for the difference in price. Please note, this camp is still dependent on Phase 2 reopening and approval by state and local health departments for this specific sports camp. If sessions are cancelled, participants will be credited the full amount - refunds upon request.  The schedule will be Monday – Thursday with a rain date Friday. In the event there are multiple rainouts, a make-up session will be scheduled during the week of August 17-21. UPDATE 5/27: Due to COVID19 Explorer's Summer Camp will not exceed more than 10 children per group with a total of 3 groups. There will be no exceptions, so register soon! Explorer's Day Camp will not be offering Before Care and After Care. Camp will run 9am-4pm daily. Field Trips are also cancelled for the summer. Week 7 - Summer Olympics August 3 - August 7While professional athletes are partaking in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, Explorer's Day Camp campers will also be participating in Summer Olympics activities right here in Canton! Our entertainer T-Bone will start ot the week with his energetic and crazy stunts he has campers do while he sings. Campers will also get a chance to test their abilities in some Summer Olympic games such as the long jump, hula hooping, shot put, javelin and ring toss. Campers will also get to test their creativity in speed coloring, making bandannas and doing wheelbarrow races. At the end of the week campers will get to test their new abilities against the camp counselors in a friendly game of kickball. Week 7: $190 | Additional $20.00 for non-residents. ________________________________________________________________________Explorers Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for youth to make new friends, participate in a variety of activities and create memories that last a lifetime! The program includes a variety of outdoor activities at the park including team games, sports, arts & crafts and more. Our staff will wear face masks (campers are not required to wear face masks) and extensive cleaning of high touch areas will take place. Pre-Screening will be required every morning at drop off. Spots are limited this summer, so register soon! Tiny Tots will be held daily at the Canton Community Center- Room D, and not be at Mills Pond Pool this Summer. C.I.T.’s (Counselors in Training) will assist camp counselors with planning and leading activities, supervising campers both on site and on field trips and other duties as needed. There will also be weekly “Leadership Workshops” to help C.I.T.’s develop leadership skills and team building!Benefits of becoming a C.I.T.Being a C.I.T. is extremely rewarding and is a great resume builder for college. Also, top performing C.I.T.’s will be given preferential consideration during the hiring process when they are eligible to apply for a paid position and openings exist.Application ProcessInterested individuals are required to complete an application form and attach a reference letter from a non-family member (teacher, coach, etc). Applications will be accepted starting January 27, 2020. Application materials must be dropped off to the Parks and Recreation Office by no later than April 24, 2020 to be considered. Candidates will be contacted for interviews on a rolling basis. There are a limited number of C.I.T.’s that will be admitted into the summer 2020 program so do not wait to apply.AdmissionAfter completing an interview, successful candidates will receive an acceptance letter into the C.I.T. program.Candidates must then submit $65.00 per week- a minimum of 3 weeks is required in order to qualify as a candidate.Upon acceptance, if you are interested in doing the entire summer, all 9 weeks of camp, the price will be $520 (one week for free)!

This week, Explorers will be making volcanoes! Campers will also be observing what happens when white vinegar and baking soda are sealed in an air tight container. (Click here to see our slow-mo clip on Facebook from last year's experiment!). Animal Embassy is visiting along with their furry, scaly, and (hopefully this year) prickly friends. This week has a lot of electric potential to end the summer!Thank you for registering for Canton's Explorers Day Camps - we improve every year thanks to your support. Week 1: $190 | Additional $20.00 for non-residents. ________________________________________________________________________Explorers Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for youth to make new friends, participate in a variety of activities and create memories that last a lifetime! In addition to being a lot of fun, our parent & child classes are great preparation for young children to learn social skills as well as other school readiness skills that are appropriate for their age.

This week, Explorers will be making volcanoes! Campers will also be observing what happens when white vinegar and baking soda are sealed in an air tight container. Join the party and enjoy the health benefits of this energetic, feel good, low impact aerobic workout. This class is a total body workout set to Latin and international rhythms. We use the same music and choreography as Zumba Basic; the routines are just modified to be more gentle on your knees. No experience necessary, just a willingness to dance and have fun while logging at least 5,000 steps on your fitness tracker! Classes run continuously throughout the year.
