Welcome to Explorers Day Camp 2026!
Explorers Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for youth to make new friends, participate in a variety of activities and create memories that last a lifetime! This summer camp includes a variety of outdoor activities at the park, weekly entertainer visits and daily swim time in Mills Pond Pool (weather permitting). Campers entering grade 1 - campers entering grade 8 in Fall 2026 are welcome to join!
General Information
Explorers Day Camp is held Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Mills Pond Park. PM Care is offered from 4:00pm to 5:30pm daily for an additional fee. In the event of bad weather or extreme heat, camp is held indoors at the Canton Community Center at 40 Dyer Ave. To remain updated on any changes in the location of camp, please download the Remind App and join the Explorers Day Camp 2026 class (class code: @expcamp26). Parents/guardians will also be emailed any changes, however the Remind App is the quickest and easiest form of communication between our staff and parents/guardians.
For more information about Explorers Day Camp, including operations and rules of conduct, please see the "Explorers Day Camp Parent Handbook 2026" linked below. All parents/guardians will be asked to agree and electronically sign the parent handbook when completing registration for camp this summer.

New This Year - Important General Form Information
In the past, each summer we have ask families to complete a General Form for their child(ren) prior to their attendance at Explorers Day Camp. This year, if you have already completed a General Form for your child(ren) for Explorers Day Camp in the past, you will not be prompted to complete a new form. The General Form that you completed for your child(ren) last year is still active in your household account. With that being said, we do ask that families still check the current General Form that is on file and update any pertinent information that has changed from last year (Authorized Pick Ups, emergency contacts, medical information, etc.) Forms can be found by clicking on your child's name in your household account and scrolling down to the "Custom Forms" section. Please Note: If this is your child's first time attending Explorers Day Camp, you will be prompted to fill out a General Form.

Group Request Deadline
If you would like to make a group request for your child(ren), please email Claire Boughton (cboughton@townofcantonct.org) no later than 12:00pm on the Wednesday prior to the week your child is attending. Please Note: Because of the sizes of the groups, group requests are not be guaranteed.

AM Care - We do not offer an AM Care option for Explorers Day Camp.

Payment Plans
If you are registering for camp prior to April 17th, a pre-set payment plan will be automatically applied to your cart at checkout. If you do not wish to use the payment plan - enter the full amount of the week of camp under "Payment". If you wish to use the payment plan you will adjust the price under "Payment" to whatever amount you would like to pay as an initial deposit ($50 minimum per week). After that, the payment plan will automatically charge $50 per week of camp registered every 2 weeks until it is paid off.
Payment plans are also available for the Full Summer Bundle, however will not be automatically provided at checkout. Please call the Parks & Recreation Department at (860)693-5808 or email cboughton@townofcantonct.org to set up an automatic payment plan when you are ready to register for the Full Summer Bundle.

Week 1: Under the Sea
June 22 - June 26

Dive in! Or... maybe check the water first for sharks? Your Explorers will love this water-themed week filled with water activities, under the sea crafts and so much more! More details to come!
Week 2: Science Explorers
June 29 - July 2

Get on your lab coat and goggles - it’s science exploration time! This exciting week will be filled with thrilling experiments and wacky activities that will challenge and engage curious minds. From elephant toothpaste to oobleck: the world of science awaits!
Week 3: Safari Adventure
July 6 - July 10
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 1 by 12:00pm
Pack your bags, grab your safari hats and jump in the Jeep for a wild week of nature and adventure at Explorers Day Camp! We will even have an exciting visit from the ever-popular Curious Creatures!
Week 4: Color Wars
July 13 - July 17
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 8 by 12:00pm
The Explorers Day Camp classic Color Wars Week is back! The red, blue and yellow team will face off in head to head challenges and competitions throughout the week, earning points for their team along the way. Teams will also be able to earn points by bringing non-perishable food with them to camp to support the Color Wars Food Drive!
Week 5: Space Expedition
July 20 - July 24
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 15 by 12:00pm
3... 2... 1... Blast off! Campers will be leaving this world and traveling to galaxies far away during our Space Expedition week. More details to come!
Week 6: Wild Wild West
July 27 - July 31
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 22 by 12:00pm
Dust off your boots and grab your hats - we’re heading back to the frontier! This week, camp transforms into a rugged outpost of adventure, mystery, and old-school fun. Bring your best flannel and your loudest "YEE-HAW!" More details to come!
Week 7: Once Upon a Time
August 3 - August 7
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 29 by 12:00pm
Be our guest this summer as we dream, soar, and dive into a whole new world of Disney! Come explore all of your favorite characters, songs, and kingdoms this week from the classic animations to Pixar, Star Wars, and new live-action remakes. Wish upon a star with us as it’s sure to be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Week 8: Camp Olympics
August 10 - August 14
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 5 by 12:00pm
Camp Olympics is back to wrap up our summer this year! Groups will create their own countries and then represent these countries in a variety of games and activities!
*Explorers Day Camp has a maximum of 60 campers per week. If a week you are interested in is full, please join the wait list.
