Welcome to Explorers Day Camp 2024!
Explorers Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for youth to make new friends, participate in a variety of activities and create memories that last a lifetime! This summer camp includes a variety of outdoor activities at the park, weekly entertainer visits and daily swim time in Mills Pond Pool (weather permitting). 

General Information
Explorers Day Camp is held Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Mills Pond Park. PM Care is offered from 4:00pm to 5:30pm daily for an additional fee. In the event of bad weather or extreme heat, camp is held indoors at the Canton Community Center at 40 Dyer Ave. To remain updated on any changes in the location of camp, please download the Remind App and join the Explorers Day Camp 2024 class (class code: @expcamp24). The Remind App is the quickest and easiest form of communication between our staff and parents/guardians.

For more information about Explorers Day Camp, including operations and rules of conduct, please see the "Explorers Day Camp Parent Handbook 2024" linked below. All parents will be asked to agree and electronically sign the parent handbook when completing registration for camp this summer.

Important Deadlines
Weekly Registration Deadline
12:00pm each Wednesday for following week
    Ex. Registration for Week 3 closes on the Wednesday of Week 2 at 12:00pm

Group Request Deadline
If you would like to make a group request for your child(ren), please email Claire Boughton (cboughton@townofcantonct.org) no later than 12:00pm on the Wednesday prior to the week your child is attending.
Please Note: Because of the sizes of the groups, group requests will not be guaranteed this summer.

July 5th Single Day Deadline
The deadline to register your child for the July 5th Single Day Camp this year is Friday, June 14th by 12:00pm. If this day does not reach attendance minimums, it will be cancelled.

Early Bird Rate: $264 Res. / $274 Non-Res. per Week (available until 4/30)
Full Summer Package
Regular Package Price: $2,391 Res. / $2,481 Non-Res.
Early Bird Rate: $2,271 Res. / $2,361 Non-Res. (available until 4/30)
PM Care (4:00pm-5:30pm)
PM Care Price: $55 R / $60 NR per Week
PM Care Full Summer Price: $405 R / $450 NR

Payment Plans & Changes This Summer
If you are registering for camp prior to April 30th, a pre-set payment plan will be automatically applied to your cart at checkout. If you do not wish to use the payment plan - enter the full amount of the week of camp under "Payment". If you wish to use the payment plan you will be able to adjust the price under "Payment" to whatever amount you want to pay as a deposit. After that, the payment plan will charge $50 per week of camp registered for every 2-weeks until it is paid off. Explorers Day Camp 2024 Themes!
Week 1: Under the Big Top
June 17 - June 21
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, June 12 by 12:00pm
Step right up to the Explorers Day Camp Circus! We will be kicking off the summer with this fun-filled carnival themed week! Campers (or should I say acrobats, performers and clowns) will get a chance to show off their talents as well as learn some new tricks along the way. Judi “The Energizer” Jones will be visiting Mills Pond Park to teach all campers how to dance and perform with custom hula hoops!

Week 2: Safari Adventure
June 24 - June 28
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, June 19 by 12:00pm
Pack your bags, grab your safari hats and jump in the Jeep for a wild week of nature and adventure at Explorers Day Camp! We will be kicking off the week with an exciting visit from the ever-popular Curious Creatures!

Week 3: Mad Science Mayhem!
July 1 - July 3
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, June 26 by 12:00pm
Get on your lab coat and goggles - it’s Mad Science Mayhem! This exciting week will be filled with thrilling experiments and wacky activities that will challenge and engage curious minds. From elephant toothpaste to oobleck: the world of science awaits!

Week 4: Color Wars
July 8 - July 12
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 3 by 12:00pm
The Explorers Day Camp classic Color Wars Week is back! The red, blue and yellow team will face off in head to head challenges and competitions throughout the week, earning points for their team along the way. Teams will also be able to earn points by bringing non-perishable food with them to camp to support the Color Wars Food Drive!
Please Note: On Friday, campers will participate in laser tag games hosted by Rolling Video Games. If you do not want your child to participate, please let the Parks & Recreation Department know in advance.

Week 5: Under the Sea
July 15 - July 19
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 10 by 12:00pm
Get ready to dive into a fun (and water) filled week of camp! Campers will get a chance to learn all about the wonders that lie beneath the waves through crafts, activities and games. More information still to come!

Week 6: Dancing Through the Decades
July 22 - July 26
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 17 by 12:00pm
You don’t have to be a Swiftie to make your way through these eras! During our Dancing Through the Decades week, campers will spend each day celebrating a different decade. From puttin’ on the Ritz in the 20s to getting groovy in the 60s, talk about a blast from the past!

Week 7: Party Every Day!
July 29 - August 2
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 24 by 12:00pm
Everyone loves a good party... and you’re invited to a full week of them! During this week, campers will get a chance to throw a celebration every day, from birthday parties to mermaid parties! More information still to come!

Week 8: Lost in Space
August 5 - August 9
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 31 by 12:00pm
3... 2... 1... Blast off! Campers will be leaving this world and traveling to galaxies far away during our Lost in Space week. More information still to come.

Week 9: Camp Olympics
August 12 - August 16
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 7 by 12:00pm
Camp Olympics is back to wrap up our summer this year! While we may not be able to fly everyone to Paris for the Summer Olympics, we will be bringing a taste of the Olympics to Mills Pond Park! Groups will create their own countries and then represent these countries in a variety of games and activities!
