This guitar led sing-along class consists of music and activities that keep everybody moving.  Have fun playing instruments, jumping to the rhythms and learning some musical games. This class gets the kids dancing and helps them burn off some energy for nap time.• Have fun playing instruments and learning musical activities and games.• Learn to enjoy playing with other toddlers! 11/10/2020 UPDATE: Classes will be held outdoors at Mills Pond Park- stage area (the first field on the right hand side when you first pull into Mills Pond Park) weather permitting. If the weather is too cold, raining or storming then the program will be held at the Canton Community Center- Parks and Recreation Room. Parents may be asked to participate in portions of the activity. Masks will not be required while social distance is maintained if outdoors. Warrior Hoops School: Basketball Preseason Clinic The Warrior Basketball Preseason clinic hosted by Canton Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, Craig Archambault, will be a 4-week skill development program for boys and girls in grades 3-8. This 90 minute skill clinic will focus on developing fundamental skills in the areas of ball handling, shooting, passing defense, individual scoring moves and team offense/defense strategies. It will give participants the opportunity to learn and prepare their skills for their winter season ahead! Staff will include Canton High School Basketball Coaches and Players. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt with the program! Please note, location is subject to change - may be moved to Mills Pond Park.  Please review all COVID-19 protocols prior to registering. As the state releases additional information, the sports safety guidelines will be updated. Guidelines include masks are required by all participants and coaches at any indoor sports activity at all times, including active play.

Warrior Field Hockey ClinicGrades 3-6 Come join CHS Field Hockey Coach, Coach Bristol and her staff in an engaging clinic that will focus on developing the fundamental skills of field hockey. This clinic is specifically designed to foster skill development and growth in players, grades 3-6. Players will work on dribbling, passing, defense and basic FH concepts. Have fun while improving your field hockey skills. No previous experience is necessary! Participants are asked to bring a field hockey stick, shin guards & mouth guard. Coach Bio: Margaret Bristol is entering her 9th year as the head field hockey coach at Canton High School.  She previously coached at Irving A Robbins Middle School and Canton Middle School.  She also coaches the USA Field Hockey Futures Program and was recently named 2019 Class S Coach of the Year.  Rain date: 10/9Please note, due to COVID-19 there may be updates to the safety protocols. There will most likely be another update prior to the start of the clinic. A full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. 9:30 AM - 10:10 AM    Tiny Tots Club- Pop Up Events! (ages 2-5) - Safari Adventure
UPDATE: 5/24/21- Parents and children do not have to wear a face mask when we have classes outdoors (unless you want to wear one). When we have classes inside, face masks must be worn by ages 3 and up. Check out what's happening at the Tiny Tots Clubhouse! This play-based program will introduce a new theme each week. Tots and their guardian will explore new worlds and create crafts to take home. Class will include a portion for movement to get those wiggles out and a themed art activity. If you register for 5 or more pop up events, you will receive a $10 discount for your 6th class. To register for your 6th class, you will need to call the Parks and Recreation Office at: 860-693-5808. Each theme listed below is also offered as a take home kit! Safari Adventure!  (9/30/21) - Register by 9/26Lions, tigers and...monkeys! The clubhouse has been taken over by our jungle friends. Participants will learn about different types of animals that live in the jungle and will go through a "boot camp" (obstacle course) to become a safari ranger. Our rangers will get to take home part of the jungle by creating some fun crafts!Sounds & Music (10/5/21) -Register by 10/3Tots will explore the world of music and sounds. Participants will even get to take home their own musical instrument! Fall Festival!  (10/21/21) - Register by 10/17Fall is in the air! Participants will be crowned princes and princesses of Mills Pond Park and will explore the park to find the perfect leaves. But first, our royal members must make their own fall crowns! Participants will use the leaves they find to create beautiful fall crafts.Monster Mash!  (10/28/21) - Register by 10/24Come to the haunted clubhouse for some Halloween fun! Participants will weave their way through spider webs, over pumpkins and around cauldrons (obstacle course) before getting to create their own mystery box to find out what objects are inside. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes! Dinosaur Discovery! (11/9/21) - Register by 11/7Dinosaur footprints have been discovered right here in Canton- Join us to discover where they came from! Tiny Tots will get to act like dinosaurs and make their own dino footprints to take home. Thankful Turkeys (11/18/21) - Register by 11/14Fall, food and lessons on being grateful. Toddlers will make their own turkeys for Thanksgiving and thoughtful messages for their families. Holiday Discovery (12/2/21) - Register by 11/28It's the most wonderful time of the year! Toddlers will make different crafts and activities for the different holidays celebrated this month featuring Hanukkah and Christmas. Don't miss out on this very special holiday themed class. Blast off to Space! (12/9/21) - Register by 12/53..2..1.. Blast Off to Space with the Tiny Tots Club! Tiny Tots members will get to explore planets, stars and go on a space mission. Participants will get to take home their discoveries from their mission. Reindeer and Jingle Bells! (12/16/21) - Register by 12/12Can you hear the sleigh bells yet? You will in the Tiny Tots Club this week. Tiny Tots will get to make a little magic of their own with bells. Members will get to make their own reindeer to take home!New Year Celebration (1/6/22) - Register by 12/26If class is cancelled due to weather, guardians can pick up the craft kits from the Parks and Rec Department. A $5 credit will be refunded to the household account. No full refunds will be given. Please review all safety requirements (in additional forms section below) for in-person classes prior to registering. Children who are 3 years of age and older are required to wear face masks  Masks must be worn at all times. No exceptions. Classes that may be held inside when they are scheduled to be outdoors:  Participants will need to notify Parks & Recreation Office Staff to let us know if you want to transfer out of the program due to the chance of the class being held inside by the following deadlines: 3:00pm on a Friday – when a tot class is held on a Tuesday 3:00pm on a Monday- when a tot class is held on Thursday 3:00pm on a Tuesday – when a tot class is held on Saturday If participants want to chance for the class being outdoors (past the above deadlines) and the class does end up being indoors you will still receive all the supplies from the class. No refunds or class transfers will be issued after the above deadlines.

YogaCHI is for all levels and everyone is encouraged to try it out! In this gentle but energizing class we will intelligently combine disciplines of Yoga, Pilates and CHI-Gong. The emphasis will be on exercises to deepen the breath, strengthen the muscles of the "core" as well as Upper body, arms and legs combined with deep stretching and ending with therapeutic relaxation techniques. The class is designed to bring energy and balance into the body, mind and spirit, cultivate health, vitality and longevity. UPDATE: 5/24/21- Parents and children do not have to wear a face mask when we have classes outdoors (unless you want to wear one). When we have classes inside, face masks must be worn by ages 3 and up. Check out what's happening at the Tiny Tots Clubhouse! This play-based program will introduce a new theme each week. Tots and their guardian will explore new worlds and create crafts to take home. Class will include a portion for movement to get those wiggles out and a themed art activity. If you register for 5 or more pop up events, you will receive a $10 discount for your 6th class. To register for your 6th class, you will need to call the Parks and Recreation Office at: 860-693-5808. Each theme listed below is also offered as a take home kit! Safari Adventure!  (9/30/21) - Register by 9/26Lions, tigers and...monkeys! The clubhouse has been taken over by our jungle friends. Participants will learn about different types of animals that live in the jungle and will go through a "boot camp" (obstacle course) to become a safari ranger. Our rangers will get to take home part of the jungle by creating some fun crafts!Sounds & Music (10/5/21) -Register by 10/3Tots will explore the world of music and sounds. Blast Off to Space with the Tiny Tots Club! Tiny Tots members will get to explore planets, stars and go on a space mission.
