9:30 AM - 10:30 AM    T-Ball & Coach Pitch (Ages 4-7) - T-Ball
Children learn the basics of baseball including how to throw, catch, hit, and the positions of America’s favorite pastime; all while having fun in a safe environment.  T-ball and Coach Pitch take place on Saturdays spread over 5 weeks in April and May at Mills Pond Park. Participants get a cool team t-shirt to keep.  Parent volunteer coaches are needed, if you are interested in volunteering please call 860-693-5808 or email Kellie Faust, recreation supervisor at kfaust@townofcantonct.org.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 3/22/21Registration is full! Please note, due to COVID-19 there may be schedule changes as well as updates to the safety protocols. Hybrid Chair Exercise ClassThis one-hour class includes warm-up, resistance training, cardio, balance and cool-down/stretch segments using a chair for seated or standing movements. Light weights, stretch bands or a hand towel, and light balls are used. You may bring your own tools or we can provide them. Please bring water!This will be a Hybrid class where if there is inclement weather, class will be moved to Zoom instead - class will not be cancelled. A drop in option is available, for those who prefer to only participate when class is in-person. Please review all COVID-19 protocols prior to registering. Safety guidelines are subject to changed based on State of CT Sector Rules. - Part of the update includes:    - If spacing allows, participants may exercise without their masks when a 12 foot distance between all participants and instructors can be maintained.     - If spacing can only allow the traditional 6 feet of space, then masks must be worn at all times during the class.

This guitar led sing-along class consists of music and activities that keep everybody moving.  Have fun playing instruments, jumping to the rhythms and learning some musical games. This class gets the kids dancing and helps them burn off some energy for nap time.• Have fun playing instruments and learning musical activities and games.• Learn to enjoy playing with other toddlers! 11/10/2020 UPDATE: Classes will be held outdoors at Mills Pond Park- stage area (the first field on the right hand side when you first pull into Mills Pond Park) weather permitting. If the weather is too cold, raining or storming then the program will be held at the Town Hall- Auditorium. Parents may be asked to participate in portions of the activity. Masks will not be required while social distance is maintained. All participants are asked to come with a mask for check-in and other instances if needed. 
 
5:00 PM - 5:30 PM    Parent & Me: Pre-school Hoops - Parent & Me: Pre-school Hoops
Youth ages 3-5 years will be introduced to the sport of basketball in a friendly, safe and fun environment. Kids will learn skills and techniques through a variety of activities and games. A parent or guardian will be needed on site to assist with drills and games. Mini basketballs will be available for each participant. Program will be skills based and socially distanced. Please review all COVID-19 safety protocols prior to registering. Program set-up: Parent/child will have their own designated playing area. Once in the playing area, both parent and child will be able to remove their mask. Mask must be worn entering and exiting playing area. 
 
5:45 PM - 6:30 PM    Kids on the Move - Kids on the Move!
Kids on the Move! (Ages 5-9)This program is for the kid always on the go! Classes are focused on improving your child’s physical growth and coordination through a mix of agilities stations, games and sports. Participants will get to try new activities each week. This program offers a little bit of everything to ensure kids stay active, play and have fun! Safety Protocols: All classes will be held outdoors. Please review full safety protocols prior to registering (under forms section). COVID-19 guidelines are subject to change. Masks are required at all times, no exceptions. Parents may not enter the field area after drop off. If staying on premises (field perimeter), parents must maintain social distancing and have masks/face coverings.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM    YogaCHI with Mary Ellen - YogaChi: Hybrid Spring II
Hybrid YogaCHI is for all levels and everyone is encouraged to try it out! In this gentle but energizing class we will intelligently combine disciplines of Yoga, Pilates and CHI-Gong. The emphasis will be on exercises to deepen the breath, strengthen the muscles of the "core" as well as Upper body, arms and legs combined with deep stretching and ending with therapeutic relaxation techniques. The class is designed to bring energy and balance into the body, mind and spirit, cultivate health, vitality and longevity. Yes, this is for everyone! UPDATE to Hybrid format: Class will be held at Mills Pond Park - outdoors. If there is inclement weather and the class cannot be held outside, then the class  will be live streamed via Zoom when class is indoors.  Please review all COVID-19 protocols prior to registering. Safety guidelines are subject to changed based on State of CT Sector Rules. - Outdoor YogaChi: Part of the update includes that masks must be worn at all times when not engaged in social distancing of 6+ feet and when not engaged in active exercise. Mats should be placed 6 feet or more away from the next participant accounting for movement to each side of the mat as well. Tape measure will be available to ensure proper distancing.
