American Red Cross Learn to SwimAll swim lessons will require a parent/guardian to be in the water with the participant at all times (exception: Level 3 - swimmer must be able to swim the width of the pool unassisted. Parents will be asked to participate during the back stroke/float portion on select days - schedule will be discussed with parent/guardian). • All lessons are 40 minutes long• Each session is 2 weeks long meeting Monday-Friday• Lessons are held rain or shine; in the event of a lighting or thunder storm class will be cancelled• Note: There are no make-up classes and students may not attend other classes; we do not pro-rate swimming lessons• Fee: $72.00 per session (Pool members pay $57.00 per session)* Be sure to register for a pool membership first to get a discount*Parent & Child: For children 6 months old through 4 years old and their parent (s). Class is a mix of songs and instruction to get your child comfortable in the water.Pre-School: For children ages 3 to 5 years old. Teaches elementary aquatic skills and builds on the fundamentals needed for level 1.Level 1: For children ages 5 & up. Teaches basic water safety and skills to help children feel comfortable in the water.Level 2: For children ages 5 & up. Participants build on fundamental skills and will learn to float without support and to recover in a vertical position. Students begin working on the foundation for stroke development.Level 3: For children ages 5 & up. Participants will learn survival float, swim the front crawl and elementary backstroke. They will be introduced to scissors and dolphin kicks.

Lap swim - Register to swim laps during public swim waves Lap swim will continue to be offered by request during regular public pool sessions. Only one lane will be open with a maximum of one swimmer in the lane at one time (no exceptions will be allowed to this rule - regardless if both swimmers are from the same household). Lap swim will be limited to 30 minutes during busier time to allow for a rotation of people. All lap swimmers must register for a swim time.Please note, you must register for a swim wave BEFORE registering for lap swim. If you only sign up for lap swim, you will not be able  to enter the facility. Click HERE to register for a swim wave. Public Swim Schedule There will be three two-hour public swim sessions (weather permitting) each day of our swim season. There will be a cleaning period in between each wave to allow for our staff to prepare the facility for the next wave. Only the main pool will be open this season; wade will remain closed. Mills Pond Pool Public Swim Wave Registration Please review the following prior to registering for a swim wave:   Pool registration will be available for members at 8 AM the day before the scheduled swim wave. The registration fee will be waived for all members at checkout. The pool wave will be open to the general public (non-members/daily pass) starting at 8 AM the day of the swim wave. Patrons (member or daily pass) may only register for one swim wave per day.  Lap Swim: If you are interested in lap swim, click HERE to register for a time. Please note, you must register for a swim wave BEFORE registering for lap swim. If you only sign up for lap swim, you will not be able  to enter the facility. Anyone entering the facility, whether or not you are swimming, will need to register for a swim wave. You will not be allowed to enter the facility without registration. All guests will need to be a member or pay the daily pool pass fee. We ask all guests to come dressed in their swim suits.  All general and COVID-19 pool rules must be followed. Refreshments will still be available for purchase by using Snack Dollars. Class is a mix of songs and instruction to get your child comfortable in the water.Pre-School: For children ages 3 to 5 years old. Teaches elementary aquatic skills and builds on the fundamentals needed for level 1.Level 1: For children ages 5 & up. Teaches basic water safety and skills to help children feel comfortable in the water.Level 2: For children ages 5 & up. Participants build on fundamental skills and will learn to float without support and to recover in a vertical position. Students begin working on the foundation for stroke development.Level 3: For children ages 5 & up. Participants will learn survival float, swim the front crawl and elementary backstroke. They will be introduced to scissors and dolphin kicks.
