NEW SESSIONS ADDED!This class is a great way to stay active, while engaging with your child and other caregivers. The format will entail a structured fitness set as well as a walk. All fitness levels are welcomed! The class is designed to help kick start your fitness journey and find a community of caregivers. Children ages 4 and under are welcomed to join their caregiver to the class. Weather permitting: Fall/Spring sessions only - classes may be held outdoors at Mills Pond Park. Participants will be notified if class will be at a different location. Walks will take place in the area near park or on the trails in the surrounding area.Winter Sessions: When it becomes too cold for outdoor walks toddlers will have the opportunity to burn some energy using a variety of play equipment after the workout portion is over. Equipment: Please bring a mat, water and stroller. Canton P & R will supply light weights, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring toys for your children to play with when they need a break from the workout. Some, not all, exercises may include an option to have your child participate; however, child participation is not required to complete the program.Participants must be cleared to exercise by a health care provider if recently (8 weeks) postpartum.   Drop-ins welcome: We ask that each participant pre-register for a drop in class prior to attending.

Exercise helps build, reinforce or regain the muscles, flexibility and balance that is so important in our later years. Not to mentions it’s a social activity that can be fun, improve your mood, help you sleep better, address certain health conditions and weight control. From the calm, slow practice of Tai Chi, to modified Chair Pilates or the smooth groovin’ of Mind Body Boost, there is something to keep you moving four days a week at the Senior Center! All classes offered operate on a rolling basis, so come when you can – start when you can. It is not required that you start at the beginning of each new session.TAI CHI MONDAYS @1 PM THURSDAYS @ 1 PMTai Chi is an ancient Chinese movement practice that focuses on muscle control, stability, balance, and flexibility using gentle movements. Practiced regularly, it can help reduce pain, especially from knee osteoarthritis, back problems, and fibromyalgia -- among many other health challenges. Join Tai Chi Joe and start to enjoy the benefits of an alternative exercise that’s easier on the joints.Drop-ins $7/class payable at the time of the class or monthly packages $5/class payable online. Join local artist Nicole Desanti for a step-by-step instruction on how to paint your own home, or a home to be given as a gift to a loved one this holiday. The portrait will be sketched out by the artist prior to the start of the class. The medium will be watercolor and the size of the house portrait will be 8x10". All materials will be provided and you will leave with a special gift to give this holiday season! During registration you will be prompted to submit a photo of the house you wish to paint. The registration/cancellation deadline will be Tuesday, November 27 to allow the artist time to create/sketch each custom canvas. Mats, tunnels, ramps and so much more will be available for your child to use every session. Please note, as this is an open play time there will be not be a staff member directly supervising the activity and parents/guardians will be responsible for monitoring their child the entire time. Pre-Registration & Drop-Ins Welcome!Play Registration Options: - Pre-registration: Pay a flat rate for the month (discounted rate). - Drop-in: Pay as you go by checking in at the Parks & Recreation Office or registering below before playing for the day. Please note, drop-ins will be limited based on the number of available spots each day. Join anytime! Registration is rolling. You pick your schedule!Join the party and enjoy the health benefits of this energetic, feel good, low impact aerobic workout. This class is a total body workout set to Latin and international rhythms. We use the same music and choreography as Zumba Basic; the routines are just modified to be more gentle on your knees. No experience necessary, just a willingness to dance and have fun while logging at least 5,000 steps on your fitness tracker!Interested participants are welcome to take a FREE class on either a Tuesday or Saturday. This is a great class for the active little ones who are looking for a foundation of tumbling and fitness. Skills are taught through a mix of song and dance as well as obstacle courses and other fun games! Tiny Tots: For ages 18 months - 3 years, this is an excellent beginner class for the active little ones who are looking for a foundation of tumbling and fitness and still need parent/guardian assistance/support in class. Skills are taught through a mix of song and dance as well as obstacle courses and other fun games! Students will learn basic forward rolls, jumps, pre-cartwheels and more! Pre-Tumble: For ages 3-5, this is a great foundational class for independent (no parent/guardian) students who are looking for tumbling and fitness. Skills are taught through a mix of song and dance as well as obstacle courses and other fun games! Students will learn forward rolls, jumps, pre-cartwheels, balancing, strength, and more based on abilities!NEW! Mini Movers: For 12-24months, this child w/caregiver class promotes early social and physical skills and provides a comfortable space for you to guide your baby's skill and growth with new friends! Each class, your little one will enjoy songs, gym activities, and beginner tumbling skills in a fun and engaging environment! Spring I: No class 4/812-18 months: Parent/caregiver participation is required.18 months-3 year class: Parent/caregiver participation is required.3-5 year class: This is a drop off class. A full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using lightly weighted drumsticks engineered for exercising, Pound transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Designed for all fitness levels! Fitness MatrixThis fun beginner-to-intermediate class provides a full-body workout using multiple fitness modalities: resistance training, cardio, balance, and stretching using resistance bands, light weights, steps, POUND Ripstix®, occasional dance fitness moves, and chairs for optional standing support. Each class varies slightly, but each works all major and some minor muscle groups. Bring your own tools or we can provide them. Instructor Kathi Boratko is an Athletics and Fitness Association of America™ (AFAA) certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and owner of FITMiX with Kathi.

Welcome to our 30-minute cardio and strength workout class! This class is designed to get your heart pumping and give you the energy you need to power through the rest of your day. We understand that time is precious, so we've packed in the most effective exercises to give you a full-body workout in just 30 minutes. Our workout will be a mix of cardio and strength exercises, ensuring that you get the best of both worlds. We'll start with a quick warm-up to get your muscles ready for the workout, followed by a series of high-intensity exercises to get your heart rate up. We'll then move on to strength exercises to tone and sculpt your muscles. We'll finish off with a cool-down and stretch to ensure that you leave feeling refreshed and energized.Don't worry if you're a beginner, our instructor will guide you through each exercise and provide modifications if needed. If you're more advanced, we'll have options to challenge you and push you to your limits. Remember to stay hydrated and listen to your body throughout the class.Join us for this quick and effective workout, and leave feeling accomplished and ready to take on the rest of your day! NEW SESSIONS ADDED!This class is a great way to stay active, while engaging with your child and other caregivers. The format will entail a structured fitness set as well as a walk. All fitness levels are welcomed! The class is designed to help kick start your fitness journey and find a community of caregivers. Children ages 4 and under are welcomed to join their caregiver to the class. Weather permitting: Fall/Spring sessions only - classes may be held outdoors at Mills Pond Park. Participants will be notified if class will be at a different location. Walks will take place in the area near park or on the trails in the surrounding area.Winter Sessions: When it becomes too cold for outdoor walks toddlers will have the opportunity to burn some energy using a variety of play equipment after the workout portion is over. Equipment: Please bring a mat, water and stroller. Canton P & R will supply light weights, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring toys for your children to play with when they need a break from the workout. Some, not all, exercises may include an option to have your child participate; however, child participation is not required to complete the program.Participants must be cleared to exercise by a health care provider if recently (8 weeks) postpartum.   Drop-ins welcome: We ask that each participant pre-register for a drop in class prior to attending.

Our workout will be a mix of cardio and strength exercises, ensuring that you get the best of both worlds. We'll start with a quick warm-up to get your muscles ready for the workout, followed by a series of high-intensity exercises to get your heart rate up. We'll then move on to strength exercises to tone and sculpt your muscles. We'll finish off with a cool-down and stretch to ensure that you leave feeling refreshed and energized.Don't worry if you're a beginner, our instructor will guide you through each exercise and provide modifications if needed. NEW SESSIONS ADDED!This class is a great way to stay active, while engaging with your child and other caregivers. The format will entail a structured fitness set as well as a walk. All fitness levels are welcomed! The class is designed to help kick start your fitness journey and find a community of caregivers. Children ages 4 and under are welcomed to join their caregiver to the class. Weather permitting: Fall/Spring sessions only - classes may be held outdoors at Mills Pond Park. Participants will be notified if class will be at a different location. Walks will take place in the area near park or on the trails in the surrounding area.Winter Sessions: When it becomes too cold for outdoor walks toddlers will have the opportunity to burn some energy using a variety of play equipment after the workout portion is over. Equipment: Please bring a mat, water and stroller. Canton P & R will supply light weights, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring toys for your children to play with when they need a break from the workout. Some, not all, exercises may include an option to have your child participate; however, child participation is not required to complete the program.Participants must be cleared to exercise by a health care provider if recently (8 weeks) postpartum.   Drop-ins welcome: We ask that each participant pre-register for a drop in class prior to attending.

Welcome to our 30-minute cardio and strength workout class! This class is designed to get your heart pumping and give you the energy you need to power through the rest of your day. We understand that time is precious, so we've packed in the most effective exercises to give you a full-body workout in just 30 minutes. Our workout will be a mix of cardio and strength exercises, ensuring that you get the best of both worlds. We'll start with a quick warm-up to get your muscles ready for the workout, followed by a series of high-intensity exercises to get your heart rate up. We'll then move on to strength exercises to tone and sculpt your muscles. We'll finish off with a cool-down and stretch to ensure that you leave feeling refreshed and energized.Don't worry if you're a beginner, our instructor will guide you through each exercise and provide modifications if needed. If you're more advanced, we'll have options to challenge you and push you to your limits. Ballet for Adults & Seniorswith Bonnie FlatteryBallet is a fun way to exercise! It's all about movement and enjoying rhythm while dancing to music using ballet techniques. The advantage of dance and movement programs like ballet is that you are able to go at your own pace. Bonnie takes value in using a chair so that participants can stop and rest while continuing with their arm movements. Focus will be on body alignment, natural movements, building strength and increasing balance and stability. Through good body alignment, participants could see an improvement in posture, while strength and balance are gained through movement. NEW SESSIONS ADDED!This class is a great way to stay active, while engaging with your child and other caregivers. The format will entail a structured fitness set as well as a walk. All fitness levels are welcomed! The class is designed to help kick start your fitness journey and find a community of caregivers. Children ages 4 and under are welcomed to join their caregiver to the class. Weather permitting: Fall/Spring sessions only - classes may be held outdoors at Mills Pond Park. Participants will be notified if class will be at a different location. Walks will take place in the area near park or on the trails in the surrounding area.Winter Sessions: When it becomes too cold for outdoor walks toddlers will have the opportunity to burn some energy using a variety of play equipment after the workout portion is over. Equipment: Please bring a mat, water and stroller. Canton P & R will supply light weights, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring toys for your children to play with when they need a break from the workout. Some, not all, exercises may include an option to have your child participate; however, child participation is not required to complete the program.Participants must be cleared to exercise by a health care provider if recently (8 weeks) postpartum.   Drop-ins welcome: We ask that each participant pre-register for a drop in class prior to attending.

YogaCHI is for all levels and everyone is encouraged to try it out! In this gentle but energizing class we will intelligently combine disciplines of Yoga, Pilates and CHI-Gong. The emphasis will be on exercises to deepen the breath, strengthen the muscles of the "core" as well as upper body, arms and legs combined with deep stretching and ending with therapeutic relaxation techniques. Each class varies slightly, but each works all major and some minor muscle groups. From the calm, slow practice of Tai Chi, to modified Chair Pilates or the smooth groovin’ of Mind Body Boost, there is something to keep you moving four days a week at the Senior Center! All classes offered operate on a rolling basis, so come when you can – start when you can. NEW SESSIONS ADDED!This class is a great way to stay active, while engaging with your child and other caregivers. The format will entail a structured fitness set as well as a walk. All fitness levels are welcomed! The class is designed to help kick start your fitness journey and find a community of caregivers. Children ages 4 and under are welcomed to join their caregiver to the class. Weather permitting: Fall/Spring sessions only - classes may be held outdoors at Mills Pond Park. Participants will be notified if class will be at a different location. Walks will take place in the area near park or on the trails in the surrounding area.Winter Sessions: When it becomes too cold for outdoor walks toddlers will have the opportunity to burn some energy using a variety of play equipment after the workout portion is over. Equipment: Please bring a mat, water and stroller. Canton P & R will supply light weights, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring toys for your children to play with when they need a break from the workout. Some, not all, exercises may include an option to have your child participate; however, child participation is not required to complete the program.Participants must be cleared to exercise by a health care provider if recently (8 weeks) postpartum.   Drop-ins welcome: We ask that each participant pre-register for a drop in class prior to attending.

YogaCHI is for all levels and everyone is encouraged to try it out! In this gentle but energizing class we will intelligently combine disciplines of Yoga, Pilates and CHI-Gong. The emphasis will be on exercises to deepen the breath, strengthen the muscles of the "core" as well as upper body, arms and legs combined with deep stretching and ending with therapeutic relaxation techniques. The class is designed to bring energy and balance into the body, mind and spirit, cultivate health, vitality and longevity. Yes, this is for everyone!

Join anytime! Registration is rolling. You pick your schedule!Join the party and enjoy the health benefits of this energetic, feel good, low impact aerobic workout. This class is a total body workout set to Latin and international rhythms. We use the same music and choreography as Zumba Basic; the routines are just modified to be more gentle on your knees. No experience necessary, just a willingness to dance and have fun while logging at least 5,000 steps on your fitness tracker!Interested participants are welcome to take a FREE class on either a Tuesday or Saturday. Registration for a free class is required - see below. How it works:  Pick your schedule - purchase this flex schedule to be able to attend when it works for you. 8 class pass; classes run continuously throughout the year.
