Date Published Author

The health and safety of the community is the top priority for the Town of Canton. The Town is currently taking actions that are reasonably necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the community to minimize the effects and to limit transmission of the COVID-19 virus.

In response to these actions, the Canton Parks & Recreation Department will be cancelling all programs beginning on Monday, March 16th. Programs and activities are not taking place in person again until at least after May 20th. We will continue to provide program and activity updates on this evolving situation as we move forward. Below you will find a list of programs that are currently running or were upcoming, and what the changes moving forward will be. For some programs that we will not be able to reschedule or postpone, you will be contacted separately regarding account credits.

While our playgrounds & parks are remaining open, please note that playground equipment and structures are not being sanitized. Please take appropriate precautions and be safe! Basketball courts & skate park at Mills Pond Park will be closed until further notice.

In the event that you would like to contact the Canton Parks & Recreation Department, we ask that you do so by phone (860-693-5808) or by email; email contacts are available on the homepage of www.cantonrec.org
