Warrior Field Hockey Clinic (Grades 1-8) - Mini-Warrior Summer Field Hockey Clinic Don't miss out! Early Bird Pricing Ends 5/1.Warrior Field Hockey ClinicCome join CHS Field Hockey Coach, Coach Bristol and her staff in an engaging clinic that will focus on developing the fundamental skills of field hockey. We will focus on skill development through drills, small games, competitive play, and obstacle courses! Skills will include dribbling, passing, stick work, basic defense, shooting, and receiving. All levels of players are welcome and players will be grouped according to age and skill level. Required equipment: field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard, eye protection and water bottle. Mini-Warrior Field Hockey Clinic Players will be introduced to the sport of field hockey in a fun and engaging setting. Skills will include dribbling, passing, stick work, basic defense, shooting, and receiving. No experience necessary! Come try out this fun sport. Required equipment: field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard and water bottle.
Coach BioMargaret Bristol is entering her 9th year as the head field hockey coach at Canton High School where she has lead the team to consecutive seasons (2021 and 2022) as conference champions. She previously coached at Irving A Robbins Middle School and Canton Middle School. She also coaches the USA Field Hockey NEXUS Program and was recently named 2019 and 2022 Class S Coach of the Year. COVID-19 Safety Guidelines: The CT DPH has not released safety guidelines for sports activities. If posted, Canton Parks and Recreation will adopt the DPH policies for 2023. The policies to be posted must be practiced during the 2023/24 rograms with adjustments based on local health department and town guidelines. Please note, regulations and policies may change before and during the program. Participants will need to adhere to the current policies and any mid-season changes to continue with the program.
