Rookie Running ClubFor absolute beginners to those runners wanting to improve their mile times, this course is for anyone 10 years and older that wants to put a little spring in their step this season. Runners will have 8 weeks to train with RRCA certified coach and local running mom, Monica, to run the Trick or Trot Halloween 5k race on Saturday, October 25 in Collinsville (race registration separate: not included in class fee). This course offers a mix of walking, running and yoga for runners to prepare to complete a 5k and feel their absolute best inside and out!Instructor will send out meet up locations weekly. Who Can Join: The program is designed for runners 10 years and older. Families, friends and running buddies are encouraged to register together! This program is a great way to keep accountable and stay on track with new friends. Please note, group training may include runs on the Farmington River Trail and around Mills Pond Park. While "buddy running" will be encouraged there will be instances when runners will not be directly supervised by the instructor. Runners may be on their own during some instances of the running program.

In this introduction to the game, you will learn how to play pickleball, including safety, proper grip, positioning, ground strokes, serves, returns, lobs, dinking, scoring and game strategy. Then sign up for Advanced Beginner Pickleball!we will work on skills (about 30 mins) followed by coached round robin play. Stay longer on your own to continue your games, if you’d like. People who sign up for this session should have already taken a beginning pickleball class or have equivalent skills.Drilling for Improved Game PlaySo you need to practice certain skills outside of a game situation? This class will consist of drilling specific pickleball skills so that they transfer more easily to your game play. The last part of the class will be game play for about 30 minutes to put those skills to practice.  Enrollees should have already taken a beginner class and be able to consistently rally during game play. Whether you want to improve your fitness, make new friends or just have fun, this class is for you! Advanced Beginner (Intermediate) Pickleball Pickleball is a fast and exciting sport that challenges your physical and mental skills. If you have some experience playing and want to take your game to the next level, then this class is for you! You will learn advanced techniques, tactics and drills to improve your consistency, accuracy and power. You will also practice playing competitive matches with other advanced beginners and get feedback from the instructor. This class will help you boost your confidence, performance and enjoyment of pickleball!  About the Instructor Marty Kidder is an experienced and certified Pickleball Coach through the Pickleball Coaching International Association and International Federation of Pickleball. Welcome to Music with Miss Jean!This guitar led sing-along class consists of music and activities that keep everybody moving. Have fun playing instruments, jumping to the rhythms and learning some musical games. This class gets the kids dancing and helps them burn off some energy for nap time. Get ready to dink, drive, and socialize at our upcoming Rotating Round Robin Pickleball Tournament! This fun, community-focused event is all about building connections and enjoying the game we love in Canton and the surrounding areas.This tournament is designed for individual sign-ups, and we'll be keeping individual scores throughout. To ensure everyone has a great time and can participate fully, we ask that only players who can consistently sustain a rally during a game register. When you sign up, you'll be asked to estimate your skill level, which will help us create balanced and exciting matchups.The specific format will be determined after registration closes, but you can count on a lively round robin setup. We'll finalize the brackets and schedule once we have a clear picture of our participants' skill levels.Registration will close the Thursday (September 18) before the tournament, giving us ample time to organize the format and ensure a smooth event for everyone.This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new pickleball enthusiasts, enjoy some friendly competition, and continue to grow our vibrant pickleball community. Rookie Running ClubFor absolute beginners to those runners wanting to improve their mile times, this course is for anyone 10 years and older that wants to put a little spring in their step this season. Runners will have 8 weeks to train with RRCA certified coach and local running mom, Monica, to run the Trick or Trot Halloween 5k race on Saturday, October 25 in Collinsville (race registration separate: not included in class fee). This course offers a mix of walking, running and yoga for runners to prepare to complete a 5k and feel their absolute best inside and out!Instructor will send out meet up locations weekly. Who Can Join: The program is designed for runners 10 years and older. Families, friends and running buddies are encouraged to register together! This program is a great way to keep accountable and stay on track with new friends. Please note, group training may include runs on the Farmington River Trail and around Mills Pond Park. While "buddy running" will be encouraged there will be instances when runners will not be directly supervised by the instructor. Runners may be on their own during some instances of the running program.

This class will consist of drilling specific pickleball skills so that they transfer more easily to your game play. The last part of the class will be game play for about 30 minutes to put those skills to practice.  Enrollees should have already taken a beginner class and be able to consistently rally during game play. She is certified as an instructor by the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and is very interested in growing the game in Connecticut by introducing new people to the sport.Jim is 6 year veteran of playing  pickleball and enjoys it’s competitive and social aspects.
