Mini-Warrior: Intro to Field Hockey Clinic

Come join CHS Field Hockey Coach, Coach Bristol and her staff in an engaging clinic that will focus on introducing the fundamental skills of field hockey. We will focus on skill development through drills, small games, competitive play, and obstacle courses! Skills will include dribbling, passing, stick work, basic defense, shooting, and receiving. No experience necessary! Come try out this fun sport. Coach Bristol will supply sticks if needed. Required equipment: shin guards, mouth guard and water bottle.
Margaret Bristol is entering her 11th year as the head field hockey coach at Canton High School. She previously coached at Irving A Robbins Middle School and Canton Middle School. She also coaches the USA Field Hockey Futures Program and was recently named 2019 Class S Coach of the Year.
COVID-19 Safety Guidelines: As of 1/15/22, the CT DPH has not released safety guidelines for spring sports. Once posted, Canton Parks and Recreation will adopt the DPH policies for Spring 2022. The policies to be posted must be practiced during the 2022 outdoor sports programs with adjustments based on local health department and town guidelines. Please note, regulations and policies may change before and during the program. Participants will need to adhere to the current policies and any mid-season changes to continue with the program.
