Warrior Field Hockey Clinic/Playday
Come join CHS Field Hockey Coach, Coach Bristol and her staff in an engaging clinic that will focus on developing the fundamental skills of field hockey. This clinic will focus on reinforcing the basic skills of field hockey introduced in the mini warrior field hockey clinics . This clinic will also focus on offensive and defensive strategies of the game. Players will then be grouped into teams for the second part of the day to play small sided games. Players participating in this clinic/playday should have some previous experience playing field hockey (i.e. camps, clinics, teams). Required equipment: field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard, eye protection and water bottle.
Mini-Warrior Field Hockey Clinic
Players will be introduced to the sport of field hockey in a fun and engaging setting. Skills will include dribbling, passing, stick work, basic defense, shooting, and receiving. No experience necessary! Come try out this fun sport. Required equipment: field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard and water bottle. Field hockey sticks available to borrow upon request (question asked in registration).
Margaret Bristol is entering her 10th year as the head field hockey coach at Canton High School where she has lead the team to consecutive seasons (2021 and 2022) as conference champions. She previously coached at Irving A Robbins Middle School and Canton Middle School. She also coaches the USA Field Hockey NEXUS Program and was recently named 2019 and 2022 Class S Coach of the Year.
