"Dog Park Dogs": a seminar with award winning trainer Ben Garson on the do and don'ts of dog park etiquette and dog behavior in general.

Socialization with other dogs is an often essential and beneficial way to enrich your dog's life. The exercise and relationships built in group play can shape behaviors at home and out in the world. But not all dogs are “dog park dogs” and not all interactions at dog parks are appropriate to building positive associations. Many owners may not be sure if their dog is suited for the dog park environment, have questions about what is or isn’t appropriate behavior in a dog park setting, or have questions about dog behavior in general. Friends of Canton Dog Park and the Canton Parks Department are excited to announce "Dog Park Dogs", a seminar hosted by Dogology owner and award winning trainer Ben Garson to discuss these topics and much more. This event will be Wednesday September 30th from 6pm to 8pm at Mills Pond Park in Canton CT. Tickets are $20 per person and there will be limited seating.

Due to the health and safety of all attending this will be an outdoor event in compliance with social distancing and safety protocols outlined by the town of Canton must be adhered to at all times. Please review full safety protocol listed under the forms section on this page.  There will be a portion of the seminar dedicated to audience Q and A.

All proceeds from this event go to support the Canton Dog Park! Pre-registration is required.
