Red Cross Basic CPR/AED and First Aid (Ages 13+)
This hands-on skills training prepares you to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies as well as basic first aid. It also teaches the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
UPDATE 1/19/2021: This class will be done online and in person. Participants are required to completed their online classroom session by: 5/6/2021 for the May Session and 6/8/2021 for the June Session. In person assessments will be done either one-on-one with the instructor or in a small group with the instructor at the Canton Parks and Recreation Room at the Canton Community Center.
In person assessments will take place on the following dates:
-May Session: Friday, May 7th, any where between 9am-3:30pm.
-June Session: Wednesday, June 9th, any where between 9am-3:30pm
Time blocks will be e-mailed out to participants upon registration for the class.
If the above date and time has a conflict to participants a different date and time may be requested (May Session- before 5/7 and June Session- before 6/9).
Registration will close 5/3/2021 at 3:00pm for the May Session. Registration will close on 6/3/2021 at 3:00pm for the June session. E-mails and access to the online portion will be e-mailed out ONLY during our business hours: 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. If you sign up over a weekend, e-mails will be sent out during the weekdays.
